Laboratory history

LabSensores is a laboratory located at the Technology Center (CT) of the Federal University of Espírito Santo (Ufes). In this space, research involving sensors is developed.

Founded in December 2020 by Dr. Arnaldo Leal Júnior, who holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, the main objective of the laboratory is to promote development through innovation and technology.

It is important to highlight that although the laboratory was created in 2020, some of the research that is currently being developed at the Lab was already being conducted at the Telecommunications Laboratory (LabTel) of UFES. Due to the high demand for projects involving sensors, there was a need to create a new space.

In the beginning, LabSensores had fewer than 10 people, but currently there are more than 20 scholarship holders working to ensure that innovative research positively impacts society.
